Worship Retreat

We are very passionate and excited about our Worship Retreat. It is a wonderful time set aside to worship the Lord together as the body of Christ, hear great messages and just rest and dwell in God’s presence. We are anticipating God to move and work in the life of each person that comes.

Our Speakers and Worship Leaders for the Worship Retreat are Pastor Dan Stecher, Pastor Mike White and Bryan White.

Pastor Dan Stecher grew up outside of Philadelphia for the first 25 years of his life. From the time he was a teenager he was part of leadership in his church and has been serving ever since. Between Bible colleges and different work ventures, Dan has been a worship leader now for nearly 40 years - a Youth and Associate Pastor for 25 and a father to 4 and grandfather to 8 (with another one coming). 

Today he is the lead Pastor at Lakeside Open Bible Church and serves there with his wife Gretchen. He has a passion for the Bible, apologetics, philosophy, prayer and football - mostly in that order.

Pastor Mike White has been serving in ministry for 30+ years. For the past 23 years he served as Lead Pastor at Lakeside Open Bible Community Church in Dexter, Oregon; 15 miles east of Springfield. Having recently “retired” as the Lead Pastor he is now serving as Lakeside’s Missions Director and a support pastor to their new Lead Pastor Dan Stecher. Mike and his wife Kathy have been married for 35 years and are proud parents of 4 adult children, several grandchildren and now 1 great grandchild.

Although not a “musician” Pastor Mike has always had a heart for worship and a deep desire for the body of Christ to “Return to the True Heart of Worship.” As a pastor and one who has served as a leader believing that “worship is NOT a song service but an attitude of the heart and a lifestyle lived.”

Bryan White has been a musician longer than he has memory of. By commission of his grandparents, he began piano lessons at the age of 5 and took off from there. Pursuing choir, orchestra, band, marching band, jazz band, and more throughout his schooling years, it was unlikely that you would see him without an instrument or carrying case in his hands.

Bryan began playing on his small home church’s worship team at age 10 and began leading worship in high school.

Bryan studied Worship Arts at Corban University and serves in various capacities on the worship team at Calvary Chapel Community Church in Beaverton, OR. Bryan lives in Silverton with his wife, Grace, and their daughters, Lydia and Clara.

Come join us for times of organized group worship, jam sessions, teaching and workshops on worship. There will be kids classes for ages 12 and under while the sessions are taking place. Come and be refreshed and renewed in the Lord!
