We are delighted to have Pastor Andy Brendemihl as our Guest Speaker!
This Thanksgiving, Pastor Andy will share his testimony and offer insights into the gospel of John: Walking with Jesus in the 21st Century.
“It’s so rich, it's like I’ve never read it before. A lot of people today have a very soft gospel. Jesus says some hard things to the simply religious or uncommitted. If I had just one message to share it would be, "What does it mean to enter by the narrow gate and walk on the narrow road, completely free from condemnation yet without compromise?”
Andy pastors the Calvary Chapel fellowship in Markesan, Wisconsin. He and his wife Cathy are very excited that the people in their area are hungry to learn what the Bible teaches, which is a good thing because that is exactly what God made Andy, a Bible teacher.
Andy has been teaching God’s word for 19 years in total and has served as the senior pastor for 9 years in 3 churches. He and Cathy planted this church in 2018, their second church plant after 5 years in Colorado.
Andy was drawn to Calvary Chapel by its verse by verse, chapter by chapter teaching, allowing Scripture to interpret scripture. When the Bible is taught in this way, the Word becomes alive, it becomes relevant, and applicable to our lives today.
Andy has always had a heart for the lost because he too was lost before finding Christ and didn’t find Jesus until the age of 30. He grew up with his parents owning a bar and went straight into the army out of high school. Andy was considering a future with the Hell's Angels when God radically changed his life. Living as a heathen when the Lord called him to pastor His church, Andy testifies of God’s forgiveness, grace, and the mercy of Jesus, which is still available for anyone thirsty for living water.
Ever since finding the truth about Jesus, he has been serving Him: in jail ministry, recovery homes, a horse therapy ranch, helping kids from troubled homes, and working with seniors. Andy is known for teaching the Bible in a relevant way that reveals the truth of God’s Word and draws people to Christ's love, no matter what their background.
Tim and Julie met Pastor Andy while on sabbatical and fell in love with his personable style and deep bible teaching. We know you will be blessed and challenged as he leads you into God’s Word.
Come join our CRC family to celebrate Thanksgiving! The CRC Staff will share skits, stories and songs of thanksgiving on Thursday afternoon in the Rotunda. After a supper of turkey sandwiches, you and your family will have the opportunity to present a song, skit or testimony - some creative offering of thanks to God for His goodness. We would like each family group to prepare something ahead of time to share with the group. It's a LOT of fun and very inspirational as well! We always enjoy this evening when our guests take “center stage.”
Each evening begins with a time of worship for the entire family. In the afternoons you will have the opportunity to enjoy making a Christmas wreath or just relax and fellowship.
